How to choose between Tecnotex and Tecnolan

  • Pick Tecnotex (fabric-reinforced NBR — TSE, TGO, GT/3, GT/5, GT/7, PSE, TLI, TDE, PDE, TGU, TRU) when the application sees severe pressure peaks, wide extrusion gaps or shock loading — fabric reinforcement resists extrusion and blow-by up to 70 MPa.
  • Pick Tecnolan (engineered polyurethane — TTS, TTI, TTH, TTX, TTU, TTE, TTE/W, TTQ, TTR, BUFFER, and the GH*/GP*/GGW wipers) for standard industrial and mobile hydraulics where dynamic sealing, low friction and clean stroking matter.
  • Pick the Gua-Ring PTFE ranges (serie 01, 02, GIR, GER — Accofluor filled PTFE with an NBR energiser) for high speed (12–15 m/s), rotary or stick-slip-sensitive applications.

What is the difference between Tecnotex and Tecnolan?
Tecnotex is fabric-reinforced NBR designed for high extrusion resistance and shock loading (chevron packings, heavy-duty hydraulics). Tecnolan is engineered polyurethane used for standard hydraulic rod, piston and wiper seals where low friction and clean dynamic sealing matter.
